DAY 1 Cusco - Machupicchu - Cusco
After breakfast in your hotel we’ll pick you up at 5.30AM then we’ll travel by train to Machu Picchu which in quechua language means “old peak“.
We’ll travel for about 4 hours along the river Urubamba, on the way you’ll be amazed by the beauty of this place.
Next, we’ll arrive in the town Aguas Calientes, from here we’ll travel by bus to the ruins of Machu Picchu, “One of the new wonders of the world”.
Here you’ll be astonished by the incredible architecture performed for the Inkas who used a technique called ashlar in which block of stones are cut to fit together tightly.
The lost city of Machu Picchu is composed of 140 structures that includes temples, parks, residences, terraces, and water fountains. Your guide will help you explore and inform you on all this ancient has to offer.
After exploring Machu Picchu, we’ll return to Aguas Calientes and have lunch and head back to your hotel in Cusco by train.
We recommend you have dinner in a restaurant in the main square of downtown Cusco, and also take a walk in Plaza de Armas.
